BALTIMORE, MD, April 13, 2020 – At the beginning of the 2020 Democratic presidential primary election, the College Democrats at Johns Hopkins decided to not endorse a candidate. We have instead worked to inform members about the election and connect them to various campaigns. Last Wednesday, Senator Bernie Sanders suspended his campaign. Vice President Joe Biden is now the presumptive Democratic nominee.
The College Democrats at Johns Hopkins is excited to endorse Vice President Biden and fight alongside him for a brighter, more progressive future. Our goal always has been, and will be, to unite the Democratic party, work together to defeat Donald Trump, and take back the White House. We hope our members will do the same.
This primary election has been a truly electrifying moment for our party with passionate debates on varying ideas for reform. The College Democrats at Johns Hopkins express immense gratitude to the candidates who ran. We look forward to continuing the fight alongside them to elect Democrats at every level this November.
